Learning Outcomes and Aims

  • Identify some of the basic grammatical constructions of BSL.
  • Understand basic requests be able to use basic BSL receptive skills.
  • Be aware of current issues pertaining to the Deaf community.

The sessions are 2 hours in length with a 10 minute comfort break in between. We ask for a maximum of 10 participants per session. We will arrange for the BSL interpreters.


No previous experience or knowledge of British Sign Language is required. The training session are made bespoke to your organisation. We will work with you to make sure the session is accessible to all of your staff and members. Please let us know if you have any access requirements in advance.

The training sessions are suitable for team members working within cultural organisations and/or freelance, such as: Front of House, technicians, marketing, programming, HR and senior management teams.

We will provide you with supplementary resources to support with further learning and training.
