Learning Outcomes and Aims

  • Identify some basic BSL grammatical constructions.
  • Understand basic requests and use basic BSL receptive skills.
  • Be aware of current issues in the Deaf community.

The sessions are 2 hours long, with a 10-minute comfort break in between. We ask for a maximum of 10 participants per session.


Previous experience or knowledge of British Sign Language is optional. The training sessions are customised for your organisation. We will collaborate with you to ensure that training is accessible to all your staff and members. Please inform us of any access requirements in advance.

The training sessions are suitable for team members working within cultural organisations and freelancers, including those in front-of-house, technical roles, marketing, programming, HR, and senior management teams.

We will provide supplementary resources for further learning and training.
