In partnership with Harewood House, Surface Area Dance Theatre spent a week in July filming ‘Anthos, ’ a new dance-for-camera project featuring Dance Artist Christopher Fonseca. The film features scenes of Christopher performing with the sculpture ‘Adam’ by Sir Jacob Epstein, 1938-9, and in the breathtaking Himalayan Garden. Harewood’s Himalayan Garden, a redevelopment of the ‘Rock Garden’ nurtured by Princess Mary and her husband, the 6th Earl of Harewood, in the 1930s, is an extraordinary miniature world and a true inspiration for the arts.

‘Anthos’ has been brought to life thanks to the generous support from Arts Council England and the Henry Moore Foundation.
