Alex’s movement practice stems from Breaking (Breakdance) and Contemporary movement vocabularies. He uses improvisation as an ongoing investigation in developing his movement practice. Alex is inspired by other cultures and practices and thrives on learning and developing as an movement artist. His personal investigations and interests at this time are, the exploration of capturing movement through film while being in nature, the composition between moving and playing the harmonica, British Sign Language, Sitting, Observing, listening to Tomasz Stanko and responding to the stories and practices of Leonard Cohen.
