Paul met Newcastle City Council’s Arts Development programme and led the group through an afternoon of BSL training. Feedback from one member expressed that “I had a great time yesterday at the training. Paul and Jemma (Communication Support Worker) did a wonderful session. I felt relaxed throughout, the timing was spot on, and the content went at a suitable pace to learn and ask questions”.

The program is designed to help you learn the basics of British Sign Language (BSL) and enhance your communication skills and confidence with Deaf people.Training focuses on BSL vocabulary and terminology in the arts, arts sector, and environments. With this introduction, you will acquire essential abilities to communicate in BSL in everyday situations. Paul has designed the program to help you learn vital language functions necessary for communicating with Deaf people in real-life situations.
